Stepping onto the UC Davis campus as a new first year or transfer student is an awesome experience in many ways. One of the first things you’ll notice is how busy the campus is. Students are moving fast, getting from one place to another. It seems like everyone has a purpose and knows where to go. Soon, you will too! The key to making the transition smoother is having the right information when you need it. At the Veterans Success Center our goal is to be a home away from home where you can relax, find support, and get connected to the resources and engagement opportunities you need to be successful. Below are several recommendations to connect you to the VSC and the campus.
- Visit the VSC and meet the staff, our peer advisors, get a tour of the VSC spaces.
- Attend Coffee and Donut Wednesday at the VSC. Grab a snack and meet people.
- Find out what’s happening at the VSC and around campus by subscribing to our bi-weekly newsletter.
- Veterans and military affiliated students come to UC Davis with various life experience that may include being a parent. Check out our student-parent website for information and opportunities.
- Veteran or military affiliated student using federal Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits or the CalVet Fee Waiver, will want to ensure timely payments of tuition and fees by submitting necessary documents for certification. At UC Davis, the Office of the Registrar (OUR) is where your Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits will be certified. Learn more about OUR's veterans certification process and portal where you will submit all your documents and make sure to read and respond to email communications from OUR.
