The Veterans Success Center (VSC) service model prioritizes four specific areas of the veteran and dependent educational experience:

• Successful Transition: Targeted to all new veteran students this consists of strategic programming and events that introduce students to key support services and staff so students can spend less time feeling lost and more time getting settled and finding their place on campus
• Academic Excellence: The VSC connects students to support and programming that is solely focused on sharpening and maintaining their academic skills so they can adapt to the rigors and demands of completing their degree at UC Davis.
• Community Engagement: Community engagement endeavors to help students recognize that while they are part of a diverse transfer student community, there are numerous opportunities to explore and participate in smaller communities unique to their interests and identity.
• Beyond the Bachelor’s: Whether preparing for graduate or professional school or a career, all military-affiliated students can get a head start planning their next step by exploring options for research and professional development opportunities offered by the Transfer and Reentry Center, Office of Educational Opportunity and Enrichment Services Center, and the Internship and Career Center.
